Our ClearScan™ patented laser technology contains an infrared laser that can selectively target microstructures such as hair follicles. You may have heard that Laser Hair Removal cannot be done on fair or sun-tanned skin. At Skin Perfect Aesthetics, we can treat both light and darker skin tones and can safely treat sun-tanned skin. You will need to let us know if you have been tanning, using tanning products, or have been exposed to the sun in the last three weeks so we can adjust your treatment accordingly.

Numerous methods exist to remove unwanted hair, including shaving, waxing, depilatory creams, and electrolysis. Unfortunately, all of these treatments provide only temporary results. Event electrolysis has failed to produce permanent hair removal in most cases.

Specific lasers to target hair follicles have been developed to treat unwanted hair effectively. Our laser system emits a gentle beam of light that passes through the skin to the hair follicle, where it is absorbed. The energy radiated from the laser is converted into heat, which paralyzes the follicle while leaving the surrounding skin untouched and unharmed. A cooling process also pre-treats the skin, protecting it from the heat generated by the laser. The upper layer of the skin is cooled by a cooling device as it is applied onto the skin prior to each laser pulse. Because of the cooling device, there is little discomfort felt at the treatment site.

With our laser, we can remove hair on your legs, arms, underarms, lip, chin and bikini line. It is important to remember that hair grows in cycles and only hair that is currently in the growth phase can be removed. A series of treatments is required for optimal results in intervals of 6-8 weeks.
